Pedro González holds a PhD in Molecular Microbial Ecology and a degree in Biology from the University of Alicante, for which he received an extraordinary prize and honourable mention. He is also the author of nearly 30 publications in scientific journals related to the field of microbiology.
During his pre-doctoral studies, he developed skills in molecular, communication and bioinformatics techniques. He then specialised in metagenomics, conducting postdoctoral studies at international reference centres, such as, the Centre de Regulació Genòmica (CRG), as well as, completing business studies at the IE Business School in Madrid.
His scientific publications, numbering over 20, focus on using comparative genomics and NGS to study the origin, evolution and structure of microbial communities.
His academic and business background has given him the experience, entrepreneurial skills and interdisciplinary expertise necessary to drive innovation and technical development at Microomics as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).
